As usual with these types of builds it's taking far longer than expected to get anything done, but here's a bit of an update.

Fit appears that the po might have come off at some point:

Other than that I've been busy painting pretty much anything I could find black, like the frame:

And engine:

I got the engine back in the frame at last:

Now it's time to connect it all up and paint the plastics

Do you mean yours is also a pile of spares on the floor?

Since the last update I've basically finished spraying the wheels. Now it's time to tackle the fairings:

Due to nemerous delays by the person making my custom decals, its taken over 4 months to make any meaningful progress. Here are a few pics of what it looks like with the decals on, just before I sprayed it with clear coat:

Nice project !
Keep the updates coming !
Where did you buy your carburator parts ?
Why did you change your timing chain? Was it too long ?

Hi, thanks fo the compliments.

I really admire the work you have done with your fighter, it looks stunning.

The timing chain was a little stretched but still within the useable limits. The bike has done 60 000km,so I changed it for my own peace of mind. Now I know that I wont have to open the engine again later to change it.

The factory pro kit i bought here:

I've done a bit more work on her, but havent finished assembly yet because there are a few technical issues i need to sort out, like sticky throttle and clutch problems. Im really hoping to get her completed in the next week or so. Heres what she looks like now:

Hi,
The torque settings are 10nm for the cam caps and 37nm for the head.
What problems are you having with the timing marks? Do you just want the procedure for setting the timing?

Wow! That actually looks great! Did you have any issues with the wiring being run through the frame?

Surprisingly I haven't picked up any issues with the wiring at all. I was expecting some given its age.
