Kind of stuck now while I am still waiting for the m-unit and the last part to close the cooling system loop. Decided to get started on painting the swingarm.
Subframe will still take a while but hoping to get the wiring done over the weekend, at least run all the wires and hook them up temporarily to m-unit. This way I can start the bike again and make sure everything works before doing a neat job with routing the wires under the seat later on.

Wow, this new headlight is bright. The halo alone is bright enough to serve as low beam during the day. I wired it separately and can now turn it off and on as I wish. The m-unit allows me to turn off the regular low beam and I will run halo only.
Started to wire everything but am making slow progress only. The m-unit is great and has some cool features. Dumped my stock handlebar controls and ordered push buttons. Cleans up the clip on and gets rid of even more wires.
Subframe will still take a while, the guy had to order a different die for his bender. Oh well. Patience...

Frame is welded in the meantime and side as well as tail covers/fenders are being fabricated.

A small wind screen is finishing off the front. Sits a bit high right now but I am dropping it a few mm.

Since I switched to push buttons completely, I had to get rid of the right hand throttle assembly and put on an aftermarket throttle.

Frame almost done. I have it back now to fit the seat again and figure out attachment points for a plate on which my m-unit will sit.
Also need to find a new location for brake reservoir. It will either be inside the frame or on the outside, not sure yet.
The fender plate is removable which makes working in that tight space much easier.

Working on new seat pan now.
"Tagging" the back support in place for now. Once dry, everything will come off the bike and more layers will be added to make it more sturdy.

Seat is at upholstery and should be back in a few days.
Once that's done, a few more tabs need to be welded on to attach seat and m-unit.

You aint alone here.....even though it seems most FZR people are on some kinda hiatus. Im liking the build so far.......not my complete cuppa tea,but it looks like it'll be a bad@$$ and fun streetbike all the same!!! Pretty cool and I know you gotta be itching to stretch its legs on pavement :)
