Bit of an odd question.
FInishing off my FZX1000 project. Just picked up an original FZR1000 exhuast for it but the silencer fouls the XJR swingarm. As the exhaust is one piece I'd normally chop the silencer about. But the connecter pipe is around 70mm. Most aftermarket pipe inlets are 51mm.
I recall old Laser exhausts used to have inlets around 70mm. Can anyone think of any others? Or has anyone here found an aftermarket can that theyu;ve fitted to an OE system?
FZR1000 Silencer question.

Re: FZR1000 Silencer question.
OEM exhaust diameters should be 51.5 mm on the EXUP side and 58 mm on the silencer side, joined by a clamp and an exhaust seal. Like that one: http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/yamaha/fzr_ ... tal_fiber/
1990 FZR 1000, 1993 engine, terrible state... but improving.

Re: FZR1000 Silencer question.
I fitted a SP engineering can to my 1k cos it was light. they have connector pipes although I made my own. Good can. Dunno about XJR though. I suppose it will foul too.
