Holding Revs

Post by bad.mcc »

Hi Chaps,

FZR 1000 1992 8,948 miles( yes it's mint).

I have a problem with a perfect running bike, full power :grinnod:

I have balanced the carbs, adjusted the throttle cables to slacken them off, adjusted the EXUP cables.

I thought the sevo was a bit slow? but when i shut the throttle off the revs hold for a second or so, then slowly drop off to a steady tickover!

Help Please

Weak mixture= cracked inlet rubbers , poor fitting airbox rubbers or incorrect mixture settings.
Sent from my keyboard using the English language not some teen text shite from a fooking phone.

Worth looking at the grip as well. Does it move freely, or a little hard. Might need some Lu e between the grip and tube. Always worth checking the small stuff first.
