Reserve switch

Could anyone tell me which is reserve which is normal? The wiring to/from the switch faces the bike.Don't want to run out of juice because the bike was left on reserve from the start.
Bike is a 91 fzr 1000 ru

wire connector should face enjin
If its not broken it dont need fixing
