Hello, my FZR1000 rolls forward when the Clutch is engaged, and when sitting its very hard to select Neutral, this is on my 1989 Race Bike, Engine has just had engine work done and is running Mineral oil for running in, my question is will the clutch come right when I replace the oil?, or can it be Adjusted with it being Hydraulic?
Secondly what type and grade oil do people run, I'm looking at Running Repsol, Semi-Synthetic 4T 10w-40 and changing it every couple of Race meetings, Peoples feed back would be Great.
Thanks.

Re: FZR1000 Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment
The creeping may be due to cold oil initially but is more likely to be the system has air content somewhere.. tight chain also makes it difficult to get in gear
Re: FZR1000 Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment
Is the clutch standard or an aftermarket HD item?
Some people have had issues when fitting HD clutches with creeping. Other than that check over the full system, check the slave is pushing the rod correctly, check the slave is not loose, replace and bleed fluid.
With cold or low oil mine will be a bit clunky.
Oil - The book says mineral 10/40, but many use semi 10/40. I don't know of anyone who use full syn as the clutches are said to slip badly. I have used semi and mineral back to back in mine, the semi is noticeably smoother at higher revs but with mineral (I've not had it in for too long) the bike seems to be using less oil. Maybe the rings are bedded better with the mineral, I dunno!

Re: FZR1000 Hydraulic Clutch Adjustment
Thanks for your replies, I have just changed oil to Repsol Semi Synthetic 10w40, I have a race day on Saturday so hope all will be good. Cheers,
