will different fender fit my 87/88 FZR1000?

Does anyone know if I can use a different 1 piece front fender on my 87 FZR1000? The 87/88 use a 2 piece but can't find a decent back half anywhere. Looking at the FZR600 fenders they look to bolt up the same, with the same type brace, but don't want to waste my money if it won't bolt up. Anyone done this swap? What should I expect? If someone has a decent back half I'll buy it and give you a decent front half.

if your willing to modefie a little then try the 99-02 r1 fender. i have one on my 96 fzr 600

What type of modifications will I have to make? Can I still use the factory fork brace?

i took the original finder and marked out the holes, drilled them and used the factory hardware to remount the fender. hope this helps.
