What year FZR1000 do you have?
Sounds like the EXUP Arm Shaft (3GM-14821-01-00)

Sounds like what you are describing is the outlet nipple of the EXUP(exhaust power valve). Not good.

where abouts in the UK are you. I have a set of refurbed headers that I may be tempted to sell/part exchange

Re: sorry but help is needed
hi there thanks for the help people but ive managed to repair the headers i had with a bit a WD40 the exup valve came free so had that serviced and it works a treat now i also had to replace the cables for the exup system and made some from a link on here which saved me an arm n a leg, well the bike back on the road now so happy days n thanks people
Re: sorry but help is needed
if you service the valve you need to use this stuff to stop it seizing in the future (along with regular servicing)

Where from Stig?
Re: sorry but help is needed
RS components was the last place I saw it. Its not cheap to buy in a large tin like that tho'. Creedexup used to sell it in small quantities. Not sure if he can still get it but worth asking
