sorry but help is needed

hi can someone please help me out here ive broke my bike and need a part but i dont know what its called can someone tell me what it is please thanks and sorry to sound dumb lol
right here goes starting at the rear you have the can then the link pipe then that atatchs to a collection box or header im unsure what its called as i dropped my bike and its snapped off inside the link pipe and now i cant get the link pipe to connect as its buggered now and i need it fixing asap

What year FZR1000 do you have?


Sounds like the EXUP Arm Shaft (3GM-14821-01-00)

Sounds like what you are describing is the outlet nipple of the EXUP(exhaust power valve). Not good.

its a 1992 J reg with the single headlight bud

right then after doing a bit of research i found that i need headers with the exup valves in n there hard to find in good condition

where abouts in the UK are you. I have a set of refurbed headers that I may be tempted to sell/part exchange
If its not broken it dont need fixing

hi there thanks for the help people but ive managed to repair the headers i had with a bit a WD40 the exup valve came free so had that serviced and it works a treat now i also had to replace the cables for the exup system and made some from a link on here which saved me an arm n a leg, well the bike back on the road now so happy days n thanks people

if you service the valve you need to use this stuff to stop it seizing in the future (along with regular servicing)

RS components was the last place I saw it. Its not cheap to buy in a large tin like that tho'. Creedexup used to sell it in small quantities. Not sure if he can still get it but worth asking
