New Owner new to Forum

Post by kawikid »

Good day all,
New Member and new owner of 89 FZR 1000, i have done a quick search to see if i could find any basic service info, did not find anything so i would like to ask you all as i am new to the FZR, bought the bike for $1000, runs but I would like to check and upgrade/replace all the everyday items, Brakes, Oil, steering/Suspension, Cooling, lights, electrics, etc.
I also have some slight bodywork damage to the LH/RH side and would like to repair myself, any help with procedures materials, paint codes etc would be greatly appreciated.
anything else you think i should know would also be great.

Thanks and apreciate your support

hi,
welcome to the nut farm where the inmates rule.
as Nik said the WIKI is the place to find everything you need to know about what to do with your NEW to you FZR.
As to fairing repair you can as nik pointed out look in the How-to section or look at what I did when these guys told me about plastex:-

http://www.saltmine.org.uk/fzr/project-1.html
which is the main link on my site to my FZR work

Sounds like you got a good deal on the bike. Read the wiki and ask questions. Glad to have ya here.
