There is a spanner wrench collar that adjusts your preload; yours may be set-up for track work.

The other possibility is that your various pivot and linkage bearings are in dire need of lubrication, which unfortunately means undoing several bolts and pulling various pieces off, all the while your bike is either suspended from the ceiling by straps, or perched precariously on jack stands.

If you have a single jack, put the sidestand down. Put the jack head under the right-rear-most of the main frame. Pump the jack up until the rear tire is off the ground.

This is a well-spread triangle - front wheel, sidestand, jack - and is actually rather stable.

nice one don, makes sense. I have sprayed tons of penetrating fluid and jumped up and down on it a bit.. gonna leave it and then use your jack info to disassemble, clean and grease it up tom... :tks: :tks: :tks:

B y the way you cant help me with my running problem scenario can you?? its under another thread title here, the thread is called "who can solve the mystery.."

have a look if you got a min, see what you think..

Took the bike for an MOT today, failed because the indicators are flashing too fast???? Any ideas??? someone said wrong bulbs.. got 23W in them.. tried 10W didn't make any diff. ??? Someone also said dodgy relay... things is the relay sounds and feels good... do they go wrong and start to click faster???

the legal limit is apparently 120 clicks per min, mine is 160 per min.... big fckn deal... what a twat...

still, if i cant slow em down i aint gonna get my ticket...

on the realy it says

G8A-101-03
12.8v 3?5C/M (not sure if it says 3 or 8)
TURN SIGNAL
23 (21)W x 2 + 3.4 (3)W
HAZARD WARNING
27W? MAX 4 BULBS (might say 37W max... its a bit faded..)

nothing to do with me not having hazards wired up is it??

The bike is a semi finished street fighter, no hazard light switch gear amoungst other things...

Cheers Don..

If anyone else can help with my other thread "who vcan solve the mystery" or shed some light on my indicator problemo.. i would give :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: 10,000 thankyous..and thirteen sheep... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
