They are one in the same. No need to modify.

Sounds good ill make sure I ask them a few questions before I order it was just a little fishy bc it said 89-01 didn't they stop making fzr in 95? Its from the company website soo shouldn't be a rip off. Already found integrated tail light from clear alternatives. U seem to post a lot.. I also have a ticking noise at idol speed till I Rev it goes away.. thought it was rockers but used a screwdriver and didn't hear any illregular noises. It sounds like its below engine almost like exhaust.. didn't know what the exup valve is all about could it have something to do with that?

I should have read your first post properly. The fender kit you found is for an FZR600? I thought that said 89 FZR1000 for some reason. Not sure why. Sorry about that. Yeah a 600 fender kit won't fit the 1k. Here (<-click there)is the fender kit for the 1k. If you are handy you can probably make one.

Also, the noise you hear, from what you describe, is probably the exup valve needing to be greased. After a while they get dry and get noisy. If you look under the left side of the header you'll see a cap with pulley cables coming out of it. That's it.

Thanks alot man!! I didn't think it was anything serious! I am a helicopter mechanic and I have access to sheetmetal supplies and equipment its well worth the try instead of spending that money looks Like I could do it no problem.. expecially seeing how integrated tail is 150 I dont want it to be a 250 dollar job I would rather the just cut the stock plastic down and take off blinkers lol. I knew joining this forum would be a good thing

Mine was free. Nothing a little trimming and slight engineering can't take care of.

yea man i need to do that! rather spend the money on other things. you can buy a integrated tail light from www.clearalternatives.com there nice good service too. mine was 150 came in with a little crack on lens on bottom.. called up they sent me another for free and told me to keep this one!! you got the same year and same color bike as mine! how many miles u got on that beast?

I took that same approach on my 600... just retained some of the stock stuff w/ a little trimming. I'm going with an L.E.D. tail so I removed the bulky stock stuff.

Just rolled over 25k on Sunday night. She's aging quite well. Too bad it looks nothing like that now though.

yea im keeping mine to the stock look other than integrated tail light smoked zero gravity windshield and small turning signals.. its a classic and like to keep it that way . its my first bike bigger than i wanted but stole it at 1800 dollars with 17800 miles on it! expecially knownig all the owners since it was new.. my ex step dad owned it till he passes away so there is alot of settimental value in it as well love the bike to death it was 100% stock when i bought it a month ago
