maybe suspension problem
i have had my bike about 6 months now and it wanders at low speeds under 35 mph kinda floats around the p.o. had the forks rebilt and had the dampers adjusted all the way out i turned them in 3 turns but didnt help. so i figured it was just me or maybe the tires. so i put new tires on it front and rear still does it.the fork bearings feel smooth no binding and theres no play .but maybe i should replace them anyways. so could it be the suspension needs tuned for my weight . the best i can describe it is its like the tires are following cracks in the road evan tho there is no cracks.. thanks for any sugestions

Re: maybe suspension problem
now that i think about it gave my freind a ride she 145 ponds and it didnt wander at alland wasnt as rough a ride wonder if they put in stiffer springs
Re: maybe suspension problem
It's quite likely.wheily wrote:now that i think about it gave my freind a ride she 145 ponds and it didnt wander at alland wasnt as rough a ride wonder if they put in stiffer springs
Spring rates too hard and the bike will feel un-planted.

Hi,
doesn't race tech have anifty app that you put in make model year of the bike & your rider weight and it spits out spring rate for you.
I put mine in gave me 0.85 spring I had 0.85 springs made for me locally and bought PD valves (emulators) and then the bike i is planted form 20 -100 mph hands off the bars no sign of a weave or wobble

Re: maybe suspension problem
Have a look at the front weel bearings. And check the head race bearings with the weel out. You want to see if there is not only play in the head race bearings, but allso if there is any tight spots.
Re: maybe suspension problem
ok ill check that out had a guy at a local shop tell me maybe i got a bent fork leg that just isnt visabole
Re: maybe suspension problem
woo hoo i figured it out turns out one of my front wheel berings was the rong sise.i was only checking to see if berings they were good and for some reason i decided to stick the axle in the wheel and hay it flopes around in the right bering but nice and snug in left one how i ended up with a weird bering i dont no but ir rides great now with the right bearing in there thanks for all the help..
