Downpipes

Post by Catworst »

Ok, so the ones on my bike are completely f***ed I'm looking to get a new system but the cheapest I've seen are £275 which is nearly as much as I paid for the bike! Anyone know where I can pick some up for a reasonable price? The bike's an 87 Gen.
Cheers.

Hi,
If you search the Forum Archive you will see there are later model pipes that one of the members modified to suit.

I hate to say it, guys, but he's posting in the FZR1000 section, and TK modified R6 headers to fit a FZR600 Genesis. There is always the off chance that the same "stretching" technique could be used to fit R1 headers to a FZR1K, but I don't think anyone's tried it yet.

Here's one on eBay US for the US 87-88 FZR1K.

Currently a "Buy it now" of $50 (about 31 quid) and it says they do ship internationally, but it does not have an easy way listed to determine how much shipping would be.
