FZR 1000 exup 97

Post by vlakvarkbeer »

Hi i'm new on this site but need some info on my bike . The engine won't start with the starter it sounds like there is an object in the way but is not always doing that for days its fine then all of a sudden .Last week it did it again but the starter can't crank the motor , so then i decided to strip the motor but cannot see that the gears or chain is a problem the chain had a bit slag on but don't think thats the problem .I bought a workshop manual but don't help much. Is there any one that had the same problem. NB. there is a new battery in. Thanks

Hi,
welcome to FZROnline, if we knew where you were in the world you are, then we may be able to assist more as the models across the world vary slightly.

V,
Well I guessed you were either Dutch or South African hence my query we do have another member out there but knowing how big the country is ...............

As to the Model it is not one I know in detail, might I suggest you PM Mossey1200 (look under member link in the page banner) and have a chat with him he races a 1K and is more familiar with the 1K rider than I. In the mean time I will have a dig around for you as I have a suspicion it is solonoid related (ie it is sticking.)
