head lights

Post by Soaringman »

Any ideas why my head lights don't work.

all other lights work, they stopped working after I had a trickle charger pluged in for a couple of days.
all fuses are good.

Thanks

It could be the bulbs or the wire in in the switch itself. The older ones tend to have a wire come loose because of a weak solder joint. I'd open the switch and check it out along with the fuses.

Thanks for replies, When the bike runs all lights are on, so there is no on off switch.
wouldn't think it's the bulbs as both went off at the same time.
but I will check, how do the bulbs come out ? Abel to pull the power off but do I need to turn the bulb ?

Thanks

Ok, I got power at the fuse but no power at the bulb.
I'm thinking busted wire.....?

Check the wire directly behind the connector, use a pin in the wire. Chances are its the connector.
