Oil Light

Post by myimpala88 »

I've got this oil light that won't go away. I just changed the oil last night and that didn't do anything. Any suggestions? I'm kind of thinking it's the level sensor that's bad but where is it on the bike and how much is it to replace and is it worth it?

I could very well be the connection is just dirty so i'd check that first. Whether it's worth it is up to you. I myself like to have my sensors all working. :whistle

Do you have a picture of it on the bike per chance? I'd like to have the light off the right way also. I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend that kind of change to fix it right at this moment but I want to make sure everything is okay. It seems to be running alright, the EXUP valves seem to be a little noisey but other then that everything seems okay.

Nope, I don't have a pic of that sorry. That's why I say check the connection. It could just be unplugged. As far as noisy Exup valve is concerned, it probably just needs to be lubed.

Noisy EXUP - squeaking as it moves, or rattling jingling sound? The first is lube, the second is bushing :-D s - not hard, not expensive. Mine sounded like a pocketful of change in a dryer...

It's a rattling sound that seems to change with the RPM's and it sounds exhaust related. It almost has to be the EXUP valves.
