Thank you. It would appear that the previous owner did put in the wrong battery. I have ordered a YB14L-A2 from our local Yamaha dealer. The previous battery in the bike was a 12N14-3A. I don't know how it compares to the one that should be in there, but I'd rather have the right stuff.
