Thanks for the reply Chris. I do need to find out if it is the actual fan or if something else is going on and the heat is just coincidental.

Nobody has any thoughts? Is there any way to have the fan run while testing the output volts to determine if the fan is pulling too much? Any suggestions on why the fan might start pulling too much current?

I have had mine about a year and they have been great tires for the price. Seem to have a good balance of grip and wear/lifespan. I don't do track days or get extremely crazy in the corners, but I ride in the rocky mountains a lot and spend a ton of time leaning them over

Sounds like you're out of synch. Try turning the center screw (in between carbs 2&3) counter clockwise while it's running. It'll start to "calm down". Id suggest getting some fuel, building or buying a synch tool, and the adult beverage of your choice and diving into a good synch session. Should ru...

Thanks for the replies. Bound throttle cable was my first thought too, but I checked that. With these bikes how much difference do you see in starting it with the air filter out, air box off, completely buttoned up? Just curious how much of a difference air flow made on idle/starting?
