my gears were playing up after my bike had been sat for a while, someone said that it could be stuck because of the oil had settled.

Could you remove the shims and measure them with out them? I take it you checked the the shims with a micrometer? If it was valve stretch or hammering back of the seat you wouldn't expect it to change again :$ Maybe carbon built up on the seat when they were not closing properly.

I had my started clutch cover welded they are quite expensive second hand. Mine had a plate welded to cover the hole. I had a mate pick it up from me take it to a welder and bring it back with some HT silicon for £10 not bad I dont think.

I just ordered one for mine as I bust it while fitting some new dog bones what I'm now thinking is a silly idea. I am picking up the new one tomorrow so I can post the part number if you want. Mines a 400 though and I am getting it from a industrial and commercial bearing shop. The pivot bearing at ...
