FZR1000 performance parts for sale
Hello all. I am a few years removed from this forum but still enjoy my 1994 FZR1000. I have a couple things I have decided to sell from my "stash" of goodies as I don't see me ever getting them installed and they are too nice to just let sit on a shelf. For now, I have listed the parts only on the f...

Re: Ignitech spark map help
Thank you so kindly jayjay! Your post got me up and running with my ignitech TCI. To be clear I found my bike to run better with one different parameter than you suggested On the "Bike" tab I found the polarity of pickup 1 when set to plus made the engine run best. Anyway, Thanks again be to everyon...

Re: Ignitech spark map help
Thanks for the reply. I have tried swapping the coils to no avail. I have exchanged a few emails with ignitech concerning my problem and they sent me a couple spark maps to try. Using these ignitech-supplied maps the bike will sometimes start and idle for a few minutes but then randomly die never to...

Ignitech spark map help
Does anyone here use the Ignitech TCI? If so, what map are you using? I need some help making a spark map. I have had trouble getting my fzr1000 to run at all with my Ignitech TCI. The engine will just keep cranking and cranking but not start. It will backfire randomly like the spark timing is retar...

YZF750 cylinder head on FZR1000 engine
Hey guys, I have had this idea for some time and thought it was time to see if the forum members thought it wise. The YZF750 cylinder head has a couple of advantage sover the FZR1000 cylinder head that I see. 1- The YZF750 cylinder head is a much more closed chamber design. This will raise the compr...

Re: 94 fzr1000 41mm fcr akropovic full system jetting
I have the Keihin 41mm FCRs on my bike. I think you are probably lean on the main circuit. I am currently running 52/55 pilot jets and 158/160 main jets. Needles are on 2nd clip from top and no air filter. I drag race my bike and using the mph method I think I am still a little bit lean on the main ...

Re: Remove the cushion spring from factory clutch pack?
Don,
I had read your posts on fzr archives before and I believe what you say about the cushion spring and associated fiber makes good, good sense.
Thank you very kindly for clarifying that for me.

Remove the cushion spring from factory clutch pack?
Well guys, For the 2nd time now an EBC SRK clutch pack has failed me (clutch fiber plates exploded and came out in many pieces). Both with less than 1500 miles!!! I have decided to just replace with OEM. I've done some research about using the OEM clutch pack and it seems the concensus view is to re...

Re: Dog Bones For Drag Racing
I decided to go with 184.15mm (7.25") dogbones. This seems to be as low as you can go while retaining the factory length kick stand- Some might want to shorten their kick stand as it makes the bike stand almost vertical. I did, however, give my bike a pretty good bump, just to test, without it falli...

Re: Dog Bones For Drag Racing
I see that sweekster came up with a dog bone ratio in the FZR 400 forum. He says shortening the dog bones 1mm will raise the tail 2.4mm on average. I suppose this would work in reverse as well- lengthening the dog bones 1mm will lower the tail approximately 2.4 mm. Do you guys think this ratio is th...

Dog Bones For Drag Racing
Hello all, I started drag racing my 1994 FZR 1000 this year and since the racing season is over I'm getting the bike ready for next drag race season :no Hopefully I can make it a bit faster! I have ordered a lowering strap for the front end and am fabricating some longer dog bones for the rear. My q...

Re: Caliper question: 4 pot-6 pot
I have the OEM 6 piston calipers and OEM master cylinder on my 1994 FZR 1000. I recently installed EBC HH pads and spiegler stainless steel lines and the back end comes up just so easily.
I hope it helps you decide.

Re: spiegler stainless steel braided clutch line
After some consideration I went with the Spiegler lines and I'm glad that I did.
Both front brake lines and the clutch line went on without a hitch.
I also installed some EBC HH pads on the front during the swap and stopping has never been easier.
I would reccomend this set-up to everyone!

Re: standard size piston rings
If you're on the cheap you may try to buy a used set of pistons, rings, and cylinders.
This is what I would do if I was on a tight budget- call me crazy.
