yea would try powering it before i start tryin to clutch it , you never know mite land flat on your back , but on mine once i start in first punch it up to 6-8 rpms let off and then rip the throttle open and that f*ck should stand right up when you say "Let off" you mean let off the clutch right? t...

have you tried a different kind of oil? With rotella my bike burned @ quart every 500 miles and had pretty smoky startups, I switched to valvoline it only burns like a few ounces now, and very little if any smoke on startup.

AWESOME!! I really hated used fram but that's all I could find. Just picked up a Purolator PL14610 badboy, it's beautiful. Fits perfect and I like that it's a little longer(more filtering capacity)

Use whatever your bike likes the most. My bike did not like Shell Rotella T at all.
