Re: New Bike For Pimp
Very nice looking bike... not a big fan of chrome either but I love the white! Too bad about the R1, that was really one of the nicest looking bikes I've ever seen.
I'm going to go photoshop the R6 in white now.

Re: My new Liquid Silver 03 R6
It is a dream b ride compared to the FZR. I love to ride longer periods of time now. Much smoother and more comfortable in my opinion. Although the 96 Gixxer 1000 I rode for a week I would like to have back. Looks like you got her all painted up! Looks great in all black! I'm actually thinking of p...

Re: My new Liquid Silver 03 R6
Congrats on the purchase. That's a really sharp looking bike, especially compared to some of the fugly-looking late model R6. I got a lot of saddle time on my Bro's '05 in July (yours is in way better shape). Compared to to my 600rr it seemed more comfortable, but seemed to want to over-steer at lo...

Re: My new Liquid Silver 03 R6
Beautiful bike!!!!! You need to flush your brake fluid! Thanks Mark! You know, as terrible as getting in an accident can be, I never would've known how much fun a new bike could be. I've put 900km on it over the weekend, and honestly just don't want to get off it, even being sore. It is a dream to ...

Yeah, they're actually not well suited to the bike... replacing those is one the list.ragedigital wrote:I wanted to get an R6, but they're extremely overpriced here in the states as well.
And what happened with the front turn signals? Did the PO put those on crooked?

My new Liquid Silver 03 R6
Well guys, as some of you know, last week some kid decided to pull in front of me and do a u-turn, basically totalling the front end of my precious FZR. See here: http://fzronline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4486&start=0 I have been debating for some time now buying something newer, but could not ...

Re: Burning oil: should I fix or sell?????
Likely most old bikes will burn oil to some extent, so you're gonna likely be in a similar boat. It's up to you really, is it worth $500 to fix the problem (and it will likely be the rings with that much oil burning), or just live with it. It doesn't hurt anything the way it is, this really comes do...

Re: What are you paying for rego
You guys are lucky... here in Vancouver, BC, I pay about $600 CAD for just liability, and that's with 43% safe driver's discount (just had my 20th year claim free)!! We have a single provincial corp that administers insurance (no competition) and it's just ridiculous. With this system basically the ...

Re: How hot is too hot?
I'm starting to think that without the above mentioned parts, when the bike gets hot the side fairings are simply directing all of that heat up and over the tank cover. At least when its naked, all of the heat isn't directed to a specific area. That would be my guess: it's totally possible that wit...

Re: Simple question-gear clatter?
Hey freeze, I wouldn't worry too much about it. I had the exact same thing happen when I first put on the YZF setup late last year. For the record, I have 45 tooth YZF rear steel sprocket, and 15 tooth Kawi 636 vortex steel sprocket up front (to align the rear end), and DID 520 xring chain, with per...

Lol, sometimes a little break is all you need...delvryboy wrote:Ok, this thread actually helped. It got me out of the 90+ degree heat, sat in the AC, drank a half gallon of water, and had a smoke. Went back out and 15 minutes later, chain is adjusted, lubed, and went for a test ride.
