Great write up!
You can hack apart your fzr airbox, but this looks a bit more clean!
Pods are great, but only with a factory pro jet kit, which I cannot afford right now!

I would change the thermostat first, it's good to change them every few years anyways.
If it still continues I would suggest your water pump has worn out. Not a big deal you can get one used from someone here for cheap im sure.

Re: stupid vinyl stickers
I have done this before. Heat the stickers up with a hot air gun, if you don't have one, use a hair dryer. Use the razor blade to get the stickers off, if you're lucky the sticker will peel off. But the world isn't that nice and it just chips off. Then I found a product called GOO-Gone, it removes a...

Get that VR off your bike and don't run with it again unless you want to replace all your lights and battery!

Re: Front Turn Signals for the 91-92 question
Hey, I installed the flanders on my 91-92 upper. They fit on there, not that perfect, but they do and they look pretty good. I managed to get one of them to sit flat and perfect but the other one I drilled the hole 1/4" off and it doesnt sit as flush as the other one, no one would ever notice beside...

Re: Swingarm license plate mounts....
Check out to see if they are legal in your area first. Where I'm from it can't be sideways and has to have a light on it day or night.
Cruisers always seem to get away with it, no one ever cares. But like always, the sportbike riders get picked on and cops love to follow us around!

2.5 - 3 hours???
cmon that's just a ride around the block
!!!!
When I bring a backup, I always put in a few wrenches, plyers, allen wrenches, whatever is light.
Just remember the more you bring, the heavier your backpack is going to be and your back might get sore.
