Re: FZR 400 with YZF 600 engine, which radiator ?

i think i will try to find someone who can braze me some mounts to the YZF radiator
the FZR radiator wont fit because the taller engine is in the way, you cant get the rubberthing into the hole because the radiator hits the cylinderhead

Re: FZR 400 with YZF 600 engine, which radiator ?

thanks but im looking for a more cleaner solution because the bike will be naked/without fairings
i thought about maybe welding some mounts to the YZF radiator so it can be mounted on the original mountingspots but i also fear that the material is to thin for welding :headscratch:

FZR 400 with YZF 600 engine, which radiator ?

Hi, i was wondering which radiators did you use for this conversion and how did you mount them ? the FZR 600 radiator wont fit and the YZF radiator needs custom mounting plates or something like that :headscratch: heres a picture of how the bike looks right now http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/208...

Re: YZF Head on FZR Block, Will it Work?

you dont need the spacer if you use FZS 600 (5DM) rods besides you dont need adjustable camshaftsprockets

Re: SV650 wheel in FZR swingarm??

the 3 spoke 4.5" Suzuki rims (GSF 600 has also a 4.5" rim, later models with straight spokes) fit into the FZR swingarm, you have to use the sprocketcarrier of the GS500E and some custom bushings
btw there is a instruction for the conversion on the german FZR Forums if anyone can read it :D

Re: custom plastic yzf tank cover

sure, i can make more photos but not before 12. or 13. of june because the bike is at my parents home which is 500km from here :/ but from the underside it looks exactly the same as an YZF tank, just the opposite, because its supposed to fit on an YZF tank, logically that makes it a bit wider than t...

Re: custom plastic yzf tank cover

Hi,
there are fibreglass tank covers for the YZF 600 R available or they where available, but it doesnt fit over the 3HE tank because its much shorter than the 3HE tank cover. I just bought one on ebay, will make a custom tank to go under it.

Re: 660 Motor, finally running :)

i run the YZF carbs with original jetting at the moment i dont know the things you asked about the FZS, the FZS motor i got had no head on it, the only things i can tell is that the crankcase is different, the cylinders are about 2cm shorter, rods are shorter, the rest is pretty much the same or jus...

Re: 660 Motor, finally running :)

Why would the YZF rods be longer even though the crank throw of the FZR is longer. Strange. They must have offset the piston wrist slots on the pistons differently then. thats because the lift of the crankshaft in the YZF motors is lower than FZR but the crankshaft is in the same position and the c...
