FREE - 18" rear rim with good tire
I am offering up a free 1995 FZR600 wheel, cush drive, and sprocket with a tire mounted on it. You pay for shipping or come and pick it up in Concord, North Carolina. The tire is a 150/70/R18 Avon AV56 touring tire. I probably put around 5000 miles on it and it looks like it easily has another 5000 ...

Went out to tail of the dragon
I finally made it out to the Tail of the Dragon (US129) Between North Carolina and Tennessee. It was quite a ride and if you haven't gone you should definitely put it on your list of places to ride. I used Duplicolor Silver Frost BFM0341 (from an autoparts store) with very good results after re-welding some tabs on my frame downtubes.

CL: 1996 13k miles Nice Find
I'm not selling this bike but I was browsing CL and came across it. Seems like a genuinely clean example of a later FZR600. Hope it finds a good home! http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/3799395639.html For posterity here is the ad: Yamaha FZR600 Sportbike, MINT condition, 13k miles, Garage K...

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-nF-nghPk6RQ/T6it8N05IFI/AAAAAAAADK8/Bu73T-npEek/s800/IMG_0248.JPG This looks really strange to me. The front sprocket cover is perfectly flat and glossy, while the engine cover right next to it has a gentle curve and is painted with a textured semi-gloss black. Wh...

Re: I broke off header studs :(
Reverse drill bits, start small, work your way up and odds are once you remove enough material to relieve the stress the stud will come out with the bit. I agree 100%. I have tried nearly every method (including EDM drill) and the reverse drill is the cheapest option with the highest probability of...

Re: fzr turn to ducati 848

This should be an interesting conversion. The tail/exhaust and the tank is (imo) the most distinctive part of the bike. Also I recon you'd have to cut out holes in the fairings for the engine side covers.

Longer kickstand
I just put on a taller rear tire, and my bike leans noticeably more on the kick stand.
I could weld an extension onto the current stand, but I'm looking for something a little more elegant, like a kickstand swap or a custom made aluminum piece.
Does anyone have any ideas?
