Re: Best tire for street use ( Not at the RaceTrack ! )
Best street tire for the FZR is the Bridgestone BT-014 . Top notch ! In what dimensions ? 150/60 * 18 is what I just put on my bike and wow did it make a pretty big differnce in the way the bike handled vrs the cheaper tires the last owner had on there. Also they are pretty damn good in the wet wea...

Re: Best tire for street use ( Not at the RaceTrack ! )
My question is : What is the riding differences if I ride with a 60% sidewall instead of a 70% sidewall ? Example ( Rear Tire ) : 150/ 60 * 18" compared to a 150/ 70 * 18" With the taller side wall it will be more cushy on bumps because there is more side wall to flex and cushion it. But when you st...

Re: Changing Oil - choosing the right oil
good thread, I changed my oil a few weeks back and ended up going to a suzuki shop (only one around). I bought suzuki oil but I'm thinking the suzukis might be slightly different because now my clutch slips. Might be a dumb Q but where can I get that Rotella oil? Walmart, Advance Auto, Auto Zone et...

Re: 600 Gas Tank
You could also go to autozone and get some gas tank repair puddy it works wonders. I used it on my old Talon that had a leak right on the seam and it held for over a year and I put that car through hell drag racing it etc. To weld a gas tank our teacher taught us you fill it up with gas and then wel...

So the Gsxr dog bones are direct fit for the fzr? Do you have any pics of what yours looked like installed?
Thanks for the info,

Re: Coolants - Water vs Premixed vs Water Wetter
The two easiest ways to cool the FZR motor are to get aftermarket headers and a YZF radiator setup (with the oil cooler). With both of those mounted you can pretty much idle all day long in 100 degree heat without the bike having issues (assuming your fan works). What years of the YZF would one wan...

Re: Exl mj109 mesh jacket review
Yea just think how it would have looked with out the jacket on! And DR said on a 95 degree day in TN I would be dead from trying to wear leather. So I will just wear the mesh and be as careful as I can on my FZR.

Re: Coolants - Water vs Premixed vs Water Wetter
When the heat starts here in TN I will be switching to straight water with Wetter in it. The water wetter has additives in it to not only help with heat but to lube the water pump and keep rust from forming when using straight water in the system.

Re: I have a Semi Big Problem Can you help???
This is weird, because I had the EXACT same problem with my new motor..... Do NOT JB weld the piece back on, I originally had done that, then later I started thinking, and I noticed that if the piece was to fall off when i'm riding......i'm screwed! Then what are you going to do? The engine case is...
