Re: *In dire need of help* Intermittent stall and no start
Hi rabman, I had a similar problem with my race 400 Fzr at some time....I have high volatge coils mounted and they didn't want to work anymore as soon as they got too hot....misfire ore most of the time bugging like yours like not gatting any fuel anymore..... check your coils....if they are not too...

pistons 3TJ 1WG
Hi again,
Does anyone have 3TJ pistons out?
Could someone measure them for me?
I could get hold of 1WG and 3TJ pistons.....wanted to see the exact differences....
overall height
top-to-pin
weight
and maybe some pics....to see the differences in shape....
many thanks

crankshaft
Hi, I'm about to get the engine ready for the next racing season. I wanted to slim the crankshaft down. I got in contact to a tuner in Germany who did a lot of tuning on the fzr's in the 90' and later. The thing is that he claims that the 400 crankshaft is to light to slim it more....it would than b...

timing chain 250 400 ?
Hi guys, Wanted to change the timing chain in my race fzr 400, the old one is getting to it's end... Anyone tried already this "style" of timing chains? http://www.aliexpress.com/item…R-250-RR/32512532744.html The shape is different, seems to be lots of used now for lots of models, to they fit the c...

adjustable cam gear
Hi guys, I did get an adjustable cam gear for the fzr. I wanted to use it to experiment a little with different cam timings. Does anyone have experience with advancing the cam timing of the IN cam? How many degrees did you advance the IN cam? What where the effects? What would be the MAX advance to ...

10° intake retard
Hi guys, I'm still trying to get more out of my 1Wg race bike. I read in a thread here that 10° retard of the intake cam would do a fine job. http://fzronline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=4303&start=15#p54453 Anyone tried this out what reelrazor describes? Anyone can agree to that? Thanks a lot Mo...

ultrasound on cylinder
Hi,
Anyone knows for sure if cylinders and pistons of the 3BF (1WG) can be cleaned with Ultrasound an citric acid (ultrasound cleaner).
Is there any coating that can take harm?
Thanks
Mouser

Re: fzr600 camshafts
Hi tabond, Thanks for the infos! Didn't want to say that the 3he springs are "better" just because they are longer, seemed to me more a reference for "faster" closing valves (which needed in high rpm's), but I might be wrong, why exactly you get better results with the bit shorter 1WG springs? Ports...

Re: fzr600 camshafts
Hi, @evilchicken it's for a trackday/race bike, not for road,so not 5 but 85% time full throttle. I've done already a lot of work on the bike, suspension and and and... so I'm looking to get some bhp more out of the little racer. @tabond 3he and 1wg cams are not identical, 1WG in lift/diam 32.65/25....

fzr600 camshafts
Hi folks, I read in an older thread here in the forum about using the fzr600 (3he) camshafts in the fzr400. Apparently the lift is a bit higher (wich seems to be so reading in the worksbook). Did anyone try this yet? How about the piston/valve clearance? How does this affect the riding? thanks Mouser
