We're talking about older and newer versions of the FZR400 and their nearest relative the FZR600. The USA got a parts bin special the 3BF, Japan and later the civilised world got the better models, which break down into the 1WG (and it's sub variants) and 3TJ models Anyway - back to you're problem ...

I don't know what a lot of this means, but I'm assuming that the stator I linked in my OP will mount up exactly how the 89 fzr400 stator is mounted? If not, can someone link me to what I need in order for it to fit?
