YZF 600 and not YZF 600R? Then check for FZR 600R (Type 4JH, not 3HE/3HH) GAskets as the YZF 600 was sold as FZR 600R (not FZR 600, as thats the 3HE) here in Europe and there are a lot of Sellers who sell those Valve Cover Caskets on Ebay

Re: 1988 project
The subframe looks nice done WOOT  :headbang: I guess it should be either painted or powdercoated in colour of the main frame (should be either RAL 9006 or 9007). By the way: your solution for the thermo unit is ways better than the solution the previous owner of my 2LA choosed: https://c1.s...

Re: fuel petcock replacement
Not exactly the same as the 600 has a plate around the knob-mounting-pin, but a 600 petcock (3HH/3HE) fits to a 3BFs/3FHs Tank...and should also fit to a 1WGs Tank i guess. Original Petcock at my spare-3BF (the oncoming Racer-3bf ;) ): https://c1.staticflickr.com/4/3865/14179884989_a6a39374c5_z.jpg ...

Re: New Bike to Buy, Help!
Hm, some dents (especially the windshiled seems to be short before breaking in puzzle-parts, should be easily exchanged) and minor scratches, obviously given due to the bikes age, but seems not to have had a real accident...if the motor revs fine and the chassis (Wheelbearrings,Steeringheadbearrings...

http://www.metalgear.com.au/view_model_ ... l_id=10261 <-These should be the right ones...the FZR 400 U/W/A are the 3BFs from 1988-1990 (the FZR 400 SUC/SWC/SAC are the 3FH Models, so to say the California 3BF Models with EXUP) and have all the same Yamaha Partnumbers for the Discs

Re: 1988 project
Additional in my case the reserve filter was also clogged so that wasn't a usable option. I thought the problem was somewhere else as both didn't work well until i arrived at home, checked everything and finally pulled out the petcock for inspection as everything else was working as expected ;) (who,...
