Re: BDST 32 carb parts
Are their kits worth getting or should I just buy larger Mikuni jets? That's why I answered regarding the jets.No problem! Carb parts are very expensive,I've bought alot of non-running bikes for the same price of a full carb rebuild kit and most rebuild kits don't include everything you need all the...

Re: BDST 32 carb parts
I personally haven't done this on these carbs but I have done on my katana,it has mikuni carbs-34's.I got larger jets and put some washers under the needles with good results. You can order washers and jets online or just go to your local dealer to get the jets. They didn't have the washers so I went ...

Re: FZR 600 carbs, only runs with choke on ???????? Help..
Sounds like clogged dirty Idle, slow jet circuit. You said you cleaned the bowls??did you clean out the jets and their related passages? Anytime I've had your problem on a bike I was working on it was usually clogged, plugged up slow jets passages.Oh and I agree with the quadrajunk carbs, that's what we...

Re: Just bought 92' FZR 600
You said the caps are still on the mixture screws. Is your exhaust stock? Where the jets the stock sizes when you cleaned the carbs? With a aftermarket exhaust the jets should have been changed and the caps removed from the mixture screws to set the a/f mixture.

Re: Just bought 92' FZR 600
One of the first thing's I usually do when I get a new bike is that isn't running or running incorrectly is to pull the tank, drain the bowls, replace fuel filter. Then I try to run the bike with a external fuel source.Takes all the guesswork out of the equation,as far as fuel delivery problems. The con...

Re: Just bought 92' FZR 600
Looks nice for what you paid! When mine isn't running I sometimes have to move the bike a little while going in or out of neutral but it does go into or out of gear without too much trouble. Why new front forks with that mileage so low?? Maybe the bike was in a accident? I would really go over that ...

Re: Rebuilding the electrical system
WOW,If it were me I would be looking for a new wiring harness! The last pic looks like your main fuse and lots of other burnt parts. You may need:Main relay,TCI,battery and other numerous items.I wouldn't even put 12 volts to that bike.I hope you got it really cheap, not a easy project for a beginner ...

Re: Rebuilding the electrical system
Need more info. When you say won't start does the starter spin the engine and it won't start?? Or does the starter not work at all? Do you have nothing at all(no lights, nothing electrical)Check your main fuse to see if it's blown. You need a volt/ohm meter to properly diagnose electrical problems and...

Re: Ignition problems (new to the motorcycle world)
Did you check voltage at the coils, low voltage=weak spark?
My 98 had bad connections(dirty, corroded)all over the harness, ignitor should be good I think if you are getting spark.
