basket case problem with fuel pump.
Committed to finally getting my basket case on the road this summer now my fuel pump wont kick on at all, when I turn the switch to run, a relay clicks non stop until I kill the power but the pump does nothing. Tried with 2 different pumps. I took a video but do not know how to post it.

Re: Can I get pics of a mounted radiator
I appreciate the reply but no that doesn't help me. I need to see where the brackets mount and everything because things aren't lining up correctly. I know I probably sound stupid.

Can I get pics of a mounted radiator
I tore my bike a part a little over a year ago and I just now have the ambition to put it back together but I can't remember how to mount the radiator I don't know if I'm missing pieces or what but I can't get it to fit correctly so if someone could post pics of their radiator and mounting brackets ...

bad solenoid?
I hit my start button and the bike does not crank unless I jump the solenoid. However when I hit the start button the oil light turns on and the fuel pump primes. So is this deffinitely the solenoid?

stupid question please help
Its been awhile since I posted since the bikes been in storage. But my bike is a mess and I'm trying to get it straight. Just wondering if this thing came with front blinkers. I can't find any unaccounted for wires up front . Its. 97 fzr600 if that makes a difference. Any and all help is appreciated.

Re: my experience with the archives stator test?
sorry just trying to make sense of this. I know what I did and what the results were so I must've done the impossible, I was not saying the test from the archives was bogus, just sharing my experience, and from what I understand a circuit is not complete without a ground. I do not see how it would b...

Re: my experience with the archives stator test?
I apologize if my wording was confusing, I had no white wire to ground, I had one white wire on the red (positive) lead to my multimeter. And the I had the black (negative) lead from my multimeter to ground. and that is when I got a reading of 18 volts. but with one lead of my multimeter on one whit...

Re: bad stator or what!? (wont let me upload pic)
I am starting to think that my multimeter is bad because when I touch the two leads together I get an initial reading of 11.98 then it just creeps down as opposed to up. also I don't see a way to zero out my multimeter, I have an etek 10709 digital multimeter. oh and the reading of 18 volts was ac. ...

Re: my experience with the archives stator test?
WRONG on both. The stator is a three phase AC device. Permanent magnets mounted on the flywheel pass by the coils of the stator inductively exciting them. There should be NO continuity to ground... i.e. from any white wire to ground should be "OPEN" -NO continuity. Running, with your multimeter set...

Re: bad stator or what!? (wont let me upload pic)
I did this test from the archives- "After checking the Voltage Regulator, check the Stator or alternator or generator, whatever you like to call it, to make sure it's the VR going bad. On the VR there's a plug with 3 white wires in it. Pull that and get your multi-meter out. Set it to Rx10 and check...
