Re: Just bought a 94 Fzr1000!

I have a 89 fzr 600 and 05 r6 and they both clunky from first to second. Other gears are smooth. It quite normal especially for Yamaha gearboxes.

Re: Just bought 92' FZR 600

Think how valuable yr hands are, without them u can't do much so its important to protect them. I recommend gloves with Palm sliders, which help reduce the risk of broken wrists. Imagine sliding on both palms n ripping yr skin off, someone else will have to wipe yr ass for u, I know cos it happed to...

Re: New FZR600 owner looking for parts!

The r6 swingarm swap which I'm doing at the moment, is do-able but takes a lot of work. The easier swap is a yzf 600 swingarm which will give you a 17 inch 160 wheel.

Re: 94 FZR 600 jerky at low rpm??

I bought my 89 fzr600 from new and it was a bit jerky at low speeds such as 20kph or lower. Above that and it was smooth.

Re: HELLO THERE!! New to the fzr. Any info or tips will help

That's a good deal, 19k miles is very low for its age. I have an 89 fzr 600 with 64k km and still running smooth. I would suggest changing oil n filters, plugs especially if it's been sitting for a bit. Do a general check over to see everything is tight, adjust n oil chain ect, just general maintain...

Yes 4.8 is correct. They always give you the total amount which includes the reserve.

Re: FZR 600/FZR 400/R6/R1 Project

Haven't been able to touch it for a few months due to work commitments, but will be taking it to my local fabricator to get the rear shock mounts welded (alloy welding) in place. Just have to work out the position and ride heights first. In the mean time I will do the value n shims and clean up the ...

Re: need some advice for rear wheel

I've ridden a few older bikes with 16" fronts and although they turn fast they were all a bit twitchy, prone to tank slaps. The 17 is way more stable and you have better tyre choice which is very important. At the end of the day it depends on yr riding style, budget and how you want yr project to lo...

Re: need some advice for rear wheel

I've heard of the f4 600 rim fitted but not the 900. It may be new territory not many have explored. I'm fitting a r6 rim which is 180 tire. Will have to fit a different sprocket, eg Kawasaki (can't remember which one) but it's do able. Might just be a trial n error thing you have to go through.

Yes it's a patience game finding the right stuff and at the right price. There's stuff out there, just takes time to source it.

Have you checked the bulb? If it's blows the other blinkers will flash faster.

Hi mate, I'm no electrical expert but sounds like yr battery is stuffed, not holding charge. It could also be a combination of a few things but a multi meter is best to be sure ( u can but cheap on for less than $20. As for wiring diagram try http://www.fzrarchives.com/fzr600/work_bench/part_details...
