Re: bugs and gas mpg
I usually fill up mine right around 100 miles. I get anywhere between 30-35 on average but it gets ridden. Best is 46.

Re: my fzr died last night (electical)
The clicking you heard was probably the fuel pump priming. Do you have a multi meter? Put the positive and the negative on the battery without the bike running or the key on and see how many volts you have. Your battery might be fried.

Just rolled over 25k on Sunday night. She's aging quite well. Too bad it looks nothing like that now though.Donnelly317 wrote:you got the same year and same color bike as mine! how many miles u got on that beast?

Re: Fresh New Look For The 94 Fizzer 1K (56k - UFFDA)
I've been searching for +2 in the rear and can't find anything. What sprockets(diff year/model bikes) fit on the exup's? I'd like to go to a -1+2 setup as well http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/5/17105/PDVG/Street-Bike-Parts-1992-Yamaha-FZR1000-Parts.aspx  BTW. Loving it after the pa...

Re: Fresh New Look For The 94 Fizzer 1K (56k - UFFDA)
Looks good. Gives me hope for mine. There's always hope. Is the 1k not decent at low RPMs?? I think they are great at low end. The power is quite usable. He just wanted thing to be more spirited I would say. I had no problem with the low end. I just wanted to wake it up a bit. It's snappier even at...

Re: Fresh New Look For The 94 Fizzer 1K (56k - UFFDA)
although I am fond of that color scheme if you yank the purple :D I didn't mind the color/graphics sceme at first but I was itching to buy a new bike this spring but decided I couldn't afford one so I just made this one a new bike basically. Along with the new look I also got a new chain and sprock...

Re: Fresh New Look (56k - UFFDA)
How can there be negative comments'? The bike looks great. How are you liking the D&D exhaust? Loud enough for ya? ;) Someone just might not like it as much as me. I liked the D&D exhaust until about last fall when it wasn't just loud, it was/is LOUD. Most of the packing is out of it now so it's ba...

Fresh New Look For The 94 Fizzer 1K (56k - UFFDA)
I thought I would post a couple photos of my bike after having my way with it and adding a little bit of originality. Comments positive or negative are welcome! Mine was free. Nothing a little trimming and slight engineering can't take care of.

Re: Spring Contest: Best Two New & Original How To Write Ups
i just got finished with an led tail light conversion. it utilizes the old light housing. it's pretty simple but i could do a write up if anyone thinks it's worth it. I think it's worth it! That's how I'd like to have my tail light look except I'd like to have two yellow bars on the outside for tha...

Re: Time for new fork seals..
Thanks for the info. Do you think an air impact is necessary to break the bottom bolt loose or would just a rachet work? Chris Would not surprise me if the ratchet or even an allen key and pliers do the trick. The torque specs for these things are quite low. The bottom bolt that holds the spring as...

Re: Time for new fork seals..
New seals are in. It was a breeze once we figured it out. The first one took about 3 hours 'cause we didn't have all the right tools and didn't exactly know what we were doing but the second one literally took about 15 minutes.
