Re: Electrical Issues and More
She lives!!! I was able to take her out on Saturday and able to ride around for over an hour and a half. She is still not exactly acting right. The biggest issue is the front brakes. they are still not as firm as they need to be. just going about 25 in a parking lot i wasn't able to stop as...

Re: Electrical Issues and More
Yeah the rest of the bike is running. Since I corrected the grounding issue it has been running for about twenty minutes no issues. The head lights are brighter when it is running versus just being on.

Re: Electrical Issues and More
Well that really sucks. I only have about three hours on the bike idling and revving it to try and set air/fuel. Is there any sort of hope that it's not toast? Would the only symptom be that it is not charging?

Re: Electrical Issues and More
Not exactly, I just wired it into the wiring harness. Whites to whites, red to red/white I think and black to white/black I think. I was pretty sure wires were matching, almost like it was the original stator. Some dumbass wired in a trailer connector to replace the factor connection. Is it worth gr...

Re: Electrical Issues and More
Kind of. The first thing I did to the bike was buy the new and improved voltage regulator, cut the old connections and make new ones.

Re: Electrical Issues and More
It turned out that the starter clutch was messed up so it busted the gear. A new yzf starter clutch and gear solved the starting problem. Now I have a starting issue. I can run the bike until the battery is dead. I have two questions, my buddy had a buel and said his bike didn't charge until he was ...

Re: Electrical Issues and More
I played with the brake lever and got a pretty solid lever, for the most part. i just adjusted the amount of travel, worked a few bubbles out and it now stops the bike while i am pushing it. My plan is to zip tie open the lever over night to hopefully get all the air bubbles out. This bike is turnin...

Re: Electrical Issues and More
I finally had a chance to pull the stator cover off. I found one of the wires was hanging on by a thread. I re did the splic, yeah previously spliced together, and it seems to be working now. Brakes, I got as much air out of it as I could. I was thinking about it the past couple of days and I couldn...

Re: Electrical Issues and More
One line that splits into two. Yeah I basically did all of both of those two links. The only thing I didn't do is crack the bleeder free at the master cylinder and try to bleed from there, but i did bench bleed the master before install and had fluid flowing up from the calipers before I reconnected...

Re: Electrical Issues and More
Hey, thanks for the input I appreciate it. I am hiding down in Milwaukee. It does much better with the air box on, I did play with the fuel/air ratio and I am able to get it to sit bout 1,200 - 1,500 on idle. I am still having some issue but I think my stator is toast, I can only idle the bike for a...

Re: Electrical Issues
Rear brake switch was out of adjustment. Front switch is not working at all, ordered a new one. I think that takes care of my electrical issues. I should be out riding but she still has a few gremlins inside of her. :headscratch: banghead :swear So last night I had it all put back together just need...

Re: Electrical Issues
Turn signal issue ended up being some wiring issues. I cut the wires and wired in some new weather proof quick disconnects. Temp gauge was a bad connector so I replaced it as well. I ended up finding a blown fuze on my triple check of them. Most of the light bulbs in the gauges were burned out. One ...
