Re: Buying Tires from Europe.

Alright, so ive had the tires on a little while, but i cant report fairly as i havent done much mileage on them. I took them through the hawks for a days riding and then maybe a hundred more miles after that, and overall i felt more confident and controlled while in the lean as opposed to the old ne...

FZR Offroad Capabilities - 6.5/10

http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/uusinydi6qtdihoqkm6t.jpg So my buddy with an R1 went exploring with me today. We decided to leave the streets since it was boring. And having just installed my brand new shinko tires the other day, i figured offroading was the best way to break in th...

Re: Buying Tires from Europe.

Thanks for the replies guys. I got a bit busy, and ended up having to just pull the trigger on the shinkos. I read tons and tons of reviews across multiple sites and it does seem like they arent that bad. I couldnt deal with the wait, and the added shipping cost at the moment since im gonna be movin...

Buying Tires from Europe.

Sorry to keep beating up this subject about tires even more, but it seems that stores overseas seem to have better selection (when i say better, more than shinko brand). I am going to plan on ordering from one of these sites. Specifically the BT090 from: http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsc...

Re: JT chains?

So i got the chain, installed it along with the other JT sprockets. No problems. Ive run about 500 miles so far. Did the slack adjustment around 300 miles and i cant complain. here are some pictures of the chain links i broke off, for reference i suppose. Oh, and this chain is a Thailand made chain,...

Re: JT chains?

Reason why i dont want to stick to a 520 setup is that this is my first bike. I want to be able to start from as stock of a platform as i can. Get a good baseline down before i decide if i really want to switch back to a 520. That way i know what these changes will actually feel like. Maybe im doing...

JT chains?

I've searched for a couple days now and havent read anything about people liking or disliking JT's chains. My 600 came with a 14/45 520 setup but the vortex rear sprocket broke a rear tooth. So i am going back to stock and ordered JT 15 and 45 steel sprockets. I also ordered the JT 530 Xring chain. ...
