Claryfing Poor Man's Integrator
Hello everyone! I'm a bit confused here. Attempted to do this mod today but need some help. http://fzronline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=205 Link above says: Two 12VDC 10A SPDT relays (requires a normally closed terminal, Radioshack has some good ones, part number 275-248) One 12VDC 10A DPDT relay...

Re: Electrical Noob
Nope. If there is only one input to the mirror signal, the fact that you have two wires running TO it (one steady and one blinking) means the steady signal will overwhelm the blinking signal. Your LED turn signals will be LED running lights only. I hooked them up today. There are 2 wires on the mirr...

Re: Electrical Noob
So it turns out that there are two wires.(looked like 1 wire in the pics ,but it has 2 leads in it) One - and one +. I suspect that the - goes with the ground for the signals and the + goes with the turn signal. If I connect the + on the mirrors to the turn signal and the running lights it would sta...

Electrical Noob
Hello all. Im not that electrical inclined. So I bought some mirrors with the integrated signals in them and noticed that they only have one wire. If I remember right , there are 3 wires per signal in the front. Which one would I hook it up to? Would I need to add one of those resistors to put a loa...

Re: Clutch adjustment?
Also, 2 things I have learned. When putting the push rod back in it's a wise idea to put oil on it when reinserting the rod. Also lithium grease works but will run dry with temperature changes. If you can, get some 4 wheel drive or ball bearing grease, and coat the tensioner. The nasty blue stuff w...

Re: Clutch adjustment?
So where would that ball fall off? In the trans or between the clutch discs? Good thing mine did not..I would not be a happy camper. :tks: The clutch actuation rod runs in a complete tube within the transmission & the ball can roll downhill as the rod is removed with the bike on its side stand and ...

Re: Clutch adjustment?
That ball inside will roll out (bike on the side stand) can be dragged out by the PO making the rod magnetic (Oh yes seen that a few times). PO using grease on the rod end to the ball so it gets pulled out but drops off when clear of the hole. Anyway of knowing for sure YUP the clutch will not work...

Re: Clutch adjustment?
yamaboy, Here are the parts that should be in the clutch actuation assembly. It should be no problem taking the rod out to clean it. The ball on the clutch end usually has to be extracted with a magnet. The part that contacts the rod on the left side of the engine is a ball that is part of a very s...

Re: Clutch adjustment?
Hello peeps how is it going? I have a clutch problem over here.. Took the front chain cover off and now the clutch releases all the way to the top of the clutch handle. I've adjusted it from the screw but it doesn't make a difference. I put that cover back without a gasket.(ordered one) So any expe...

Re: Sprocket Kit
As far as sprocket size I went -1/+2 and love it. Lost maybe 6mpg but I can whoop my buddy's 02r6. Just saying. Chris. Cool . Not to beat the horse but I hear hard launches on the FZR will ruin the weak transmission. What do you guys think about that? Is it quicker throughout gears? I don't care mu...

Re: Sprocket Kit
So it turns out that the XSO520 chain is a clip style and not a rivet. Same with the GB520XSO. That's a bummer , because I do not trust the clip style . Also bought the rivet tool. :duh: YB, the only reason the clip style connection will fail is :- A} poorly fitted by mechanic B} fitted in reverse ...
