I guess I was thiking of a split pin but, i was really just trying to get that idea across or drilling a hole straight through and using a pin of some kind to keep the nut in place. It looks like I will be takeing the drive shaft out of the old engine and putting it in the new one, is there any way ...

Would drilling a hole through the nut and the shaft and adding a codder pin work to hold everything together?

A little background to start, I was out riding the other day and heard a terrible crunching grinding noise. Humm is there an easy way to tell the difference between the cal model when you look at it ( I have not seen pictures of the engine yet I'm waiting on that)

Spark Plugs ended up being the problem, after an oil change it runs great ! thanks !

I'm going to check the spark again in the morning, and all fuses are good, it wont fire up, it sounds like its getting close but then it gives up

Starting The Bike for the Summer, and it wont turn over
Since I finally go the bike up and running and the clutch replaced, I have taken it out a couple times for some short rides and it worked great! but now it has been about 8 weeks since it last started and now it wont turn over, battery works fine, tank is full, but it seems like its not getting any ...

Awesome thank you very much for the pictures, that spring is just what he is talking about, is it safe to ride with that spring a little loose? and is there any way to change just the spring?
