Diversion 600 here in the UK, the original model.Snoo wrote:Hi Dagan.
I'm from the UK. The Seca is the XJ900? I think that has 38mm forks not 41mm.

Hi fellers, yup, a little girl. Amy-Robyn, after my Grandma, and my Step dad, both of whom are no longer with us.

The Fartmeister is back!
Greetings, I return, following the sad demise of my computer last autumn, and me being chronically lazy about replacing it! Still, a chance viewing of a TV ad while luckily simultaneously holding my credit card and the phone, and I'm now the proud owner of a new Dell. Don't ask me what it is - it's ...

Re: Buying a new bike....
I too have a 400 frame on standby. I was going to rebuild my 600 with it but decided the project was already too far advanced to waste all the work I'd put into the steel frame. I'm planning to use it for a 600 engined Rossi rep once I finish the current project. Speaking of which, I paid £425 for m...

Re: how easy/hard is it to swap a R6 and a fzr engine?
The FZR frame is more than up to it - it handles 91BHP and my 240lbs PLUS the occasional pillion, so I cant see 105 to 110BHP and a drop in weight to a lighter motor overwhelmeing it, and the FZR's steel is much more ductile than the R6's alloy. No structural problems whatsoever. It is, however, gon...

Re: Worst experience in my life!!!
I bought my FZR for £400 (about 3 Euros these days, gggrrrrrrrr) and aside from being obviously a little scruffy around the edges gave me 2 years relentlessly reliable service before she came off the road for a full rebuild/resto. It's just a case of knowing what you're looking at. To be fair to you...

Re: Project "Never satisfied" - A very British rebuild!
Can't even remember the make of the springs...Maxton? Max something. Just progressive springs. I was never that unhappy with the front end and always had the size and strength to chuck it in quite well - it was the way the back end sometimes failed to follow that used to s*** me up! Yeah, filling th...

Makes sense Geo, but I just looked at the edit wiki screen and nearly shat my pants. I'm sure I could seriously cock that up without trying.

Tyre Removal
Guys,
I want to remove my front tyre so I can get the rim bead blasted. If I buy some motorcycle tyre levers, can it be done easily and refitted myself, or is it best left to a pro?
Cheers,
Farty
