Another thing... I've been told there is a specific tool needed to sync carbs?

Is cleaning carbs something a guy could do without any knowledge of carbs? I'm no where near wing a mechanic.

And will this work for the 1988 fzr 1000?

Has anyone had any issues with the exup valve on the older fzrs? My bike is lacking power on lower rpms but once it gets to around 5000 rpm it seems fine. I ha a mechanic tell me that maybe the valve was having issues opening at lower rpms or that it was stuck open

Not sure on the reason it died. But started up fine after I changed out the plugs

I've got an 88 fzr 1000 that I'm having a few issues with. While I was riding one day it died on me and I couldn't get it to fire back up. I replaced the spark plugs and she came alive again but it isn't running right. It sounds like a four wheeler and from 0-5000rpm it seems to have less that half ...
