OK, so I just finished building it, and I'm actually considering selling it... My original idea was to have something that was somewhat of a modernized FZR visually, without attempting to make it something it's not looks-wise. Also, it had to have a definite sleeper element - hence the FZR400 boldly...

Thanks, that's EXACTLY the kind of info I was looking for. But, can we confirm the year? 95 is the last year of that generation (mirrors listed go for 1988-1995, then 1996-2000, I think - it varies a bit depending on displacement).

OK, so I was JUST going to show you guys pictures of my totally completed FZR400/683. I just picked it up from the painters this Tuesday. So, buddies and I go for a ride today, and I let my friend have a rip at her while I ride his R6 (2000). We hit some clover leafs, and all of a sudden I don't see...

So - to the person who earlier suggested bolting the sensor to a plate, and welding that plate to the tank - any restrictions with welding with gas fumes present? Should I fill the tank with something (water..., or something else, don't know), or are we good to go to just empty it and start welding?...

Well, the reason it would work in 3rd/4th gear but not in 5th/6th is that, in the lower gears, because of the bike's acceleration, it will only hold WOT for - what...5 seconds or so...?...whereas you need to be in 6th gear to be at WOT for longer than that. This would seem to indicate that the fuel ...
