Re: 1-piece bar end?

I was told you can't use the left on right or vice versa. The diameters are slightly different and the switches would not sit exactly right either.

Re: 1-piece bar end?

For the 88 the left and right bar are different price and different code. You can even see how in the diagram how the left bar is 2 piece.

1-piece bar end?

For my '88, it appears that the right bar and end are one piece, meaning I have to remove the bar from the triple tree clamp in order to free the throttle assembly. This is no the case for left side. Is it possible to use another left bar for the right side? That way I can also install some custom o...

Re: Swingarm spool adapters? (1988 FZR400)

End of the day, I'd rather have a 30$ solution than a 300$ solution ... thanks anyways, everyone!

Re: Swingarm spool adapters? (1988 FZR400)

How do you secure the bike so both front and back are lifted on the stand? Looks like it'll pivot back and forth.

Re: Swingarm spool adapters? (1988 FZR400)

I tried to quickly look into it but it doesn't appear there is one for the 1988 1WG either. It's also not going to be ship to get it over to Canada.

Re: Remove sprocket cover?

No, teh cable just keeps connected to the cover untill you remove it from the motor and clip the cable out from the covers inside as theres a mechanism attached where the cable is linked to...maybe its a bit glued together with the motorcase due to all the dirt+chainlubecombination assembled during...

Remove sprocket cover?

Stupid question ...

How do I remove the sprocket cover on the 1WG? I removed the 5 bolts but I realize the clutch cable runs through a hole in the cover. Does that mean I have to free the cable from the handle bars first?

Thanks :duh:

Re: Swingarm spool adapters? (1988 FZR400)

Thanks for the reply. The 3BF swing arm is a direct swap? Not easy to find one.

Abba stand would be nice, but I already have a rear stand with trolly attachment I'd like to use. I also don't want to have to drop another big money on either a swing arm or another stand. Thanks!

Swingarm spool adapters? (1988 FZR400)

Anyone know a way to get spools onto an '88 swingarm? I've seen different aftermarket products for bikes with no tab to install spools on. I can't seem to find anyone making anything for the FZR400 http://g04.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB13QJcKpXXXXbdXpXXq6xXFXXXm/Motorcycle-CNC-Racing-Swingarm-font-b-Swing-b...

Re: 1989 FZR 250

I would have thought that bike was very rare in Canada?? They weren't imported, so every example was brought over in a shipping container as a used vehicle. I'd be astonished if there were 40 of them in the country. And yes, they are (literally) a scream - the look on the face of the cage dweller n...

1989 FZR 250

Hi folks, I'm a new owner of an FZR 250 in Canada. Far from mint as it's been dropped on both sides with rashes all over and bent leaver and so forth. http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y393/esmondlee/Mobile%20Uploads/received_10101078035306305_zpsmstgb1hx.jpeg http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y...
