Another clutch push rod oil leak

It appears I have the fairly prevalent clutch push rod oil leak, #13 appears to be the correct part per bike bandits' shematic? Do you recommend any other parts beyond that? Clutch is working fine, just have oil leaks. http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1995-yamaha-fzr600-fzr600rg/o/m14634...

Re: Bodywork differences in years

I'm aware of the basic design differences regarding the dual headlight/single headlight. What I am trying to confirm is there a difference between the 89-90 vs 94-95 upper fairing? Size, contour, hole pattern for wind screen, etc?

Bodywork differences in years

Hey there guys. Long and skinny is I ordered a windscreen for my 1995 FZR 600 from GP500 off of ebay. Received it the other day and went to the garage to install. The holes did not match up at all. I contacted the seller and he asked me to send pictures of my upper fairing which I did. He insists my...

fzr 600 oil pan

Hey guys,
Looking for an oil pan to fit a 95 FZR 600. Yeah, I cracked my pan replacing the gasket when I over-tightened the bolts so now I need a new one. Only verbally guaranteed non-cracked pans need apply,

Thanks,
Ken

To seal or not to seal

I plan on replacing my oil pan gasket this weekend and I am finding conflicting info online. I got a new gasket (see link)
So do you seal with a gasket sealer or other product?

Thanks.

Re: 95 fzr600 dancing tailight

What's a dancing tail light? If it flashes only when applying the brakes I don't think there will be a problem unless you don't like it. If it flashes all the time, then I think you are going to have to correct it. Dancing, pulsating, flashing whatever u prefer to call it.. As I said "it happens fr...

Also with all of the above being said running with an exhaust that minimizes backpressure can also damage your valves from what I have heard..

Re: 95 fzr600 dancing tailight

Thanks for your reply Thatkid. I considered keeping it but I have a feeling the local law enforcement wont care for a civilian with a constant flashing red light. They have this weird idea that flashing lights are for emergency personnel only. Plus I can't imagine its good for my battery.

95 fzr600 dancing tailight

Perhaps someone could shed some light on this dancing taillight. Also, was this a desired effect by PO or do you think I have a wiring issue of some kind? Happens from the moment I turn the key on.. I want this gone any suggestions would be appreciated.. http://s1172.photobucket.com/user/Kennyp75/me...

Re: Short list of parts wanted thus far

Thatkid. Thanks for the quote. Still quite a bit of work to do to get the bike running as it should. Little by little I will be ordering product. I'd prefer to order it from you vs. a big giant company so please bear with me..

Thanks,
Ken

Re: 95 fzr600 starting problems

Okay I did in fact get the FZR to start and run albeit roughly however it will only start right after a pull the new battery off the trickle charger. Is the "igniter" that sensitive to a slight dip in voltage on these bikes or do you guys think it could be something else? Also, I noticed the rear ta...

Re: How can i deep clean my chain?

Soak in kerosene overnight. Let it drip dry for a half hour after scrubbing, the kerosene dries/evaporates quickly. Also Kerosene is used because it does not hurt the O-rings & X-rings in the chain. Unlike introducing boiling water or wd-40 to the chain..

I'm also sure the mouse nest I found in the air box didn't help matters when I first bought the bike either, lol..

Re: 95 fzr600 starting problems

Thanks but its all good. It appears it was a combination of battery, alot of crud in the carbs & fuel filter (real gritty like sand), old gas and electrical maintenance. Just glad I was able to get it going, was starting to loose hope for a quick minute.. Man, what an exhilarating feeling finally he...
