Re: Speedometer needle broke. Is it repairable?
I had the same thing happen to my old speedo before I got an aftermarket one. I was able to glue it back with epoxy and take two a small wire and have it run beside the stem. Then I put a piece of heat shrink tubing over it. The reason I did all of this was because I tried gluing it and it just fell...

Front Fork Questions
I am preparing to rebuild my forks after this rising season. I am up in the air as to what is the better plan for my bike. I am just putting a feeler out there to see what ideas there are. I seem the new valves and emulator setup and am interested in that. I am also interested in maybe a complete fr...

Re: Perfect fork set up
I am quite interested in rebuilding my stock shocks instead of doing a front end swap. Sounds like this is a fairly straightforward operation really. Would you happen to have aprt numbers or know of someone in the states that has everything i need.

Re: Gear Drive Speedo
In case anyone else is wondering about this I discovered it is a 2:1 ratio. If you un-hook your speedo cable and roll your front tire (lifted off the ground is easier) and count the number of cable revolutions compared to the tire revolutions you get your ratio.

Re: YZF600R Top End AKA 660 Parts (price drop)
I see the original message is from 2011 but are these parts still available. I am quite interested in it and have some questions to go along with it. Will my carbs work or will I have to change them out? Exhaust same question? I have heard of the conversion but have not got to see or research it any...

Re: electrical problem 97 fzr600
I have actually had similar issues with my bike and found that sections of my wiring harness were melted together causes problems. FZR's are notorious for having voltage regulator problems and when the stock ones go out they have a tendency to overload the system. For example most stock tachs don't ...

LED blinker issue
I recently put LED blinkers front and back on my FZR 600. Now my blinkers don't blink. They flicker very, very, quickly. I unplugged one light and plugged in my old bulb and it worked fine. I assume I need a new blinker module. Does anyone know have a aprt number or know where I can look for one?

Re: Gear Drive Speedo
This is apparently a complex subject to figured out. First off my wife won't let me steal her speedo apparently she needs one for something? What ratio is a stock Yamaha speedo? Is it 2:1? I found an aftermarket gauge that I want and would look good but nobody will tell me if it will work or not.

It is supposed to warm up next week. I am going to plug it in and see what I got. I will let everyone know if it works or not.

Re: Yoshi Exhaust shortening
Thanks. Do you think I will have to re-tune the carbs by taking out 4" and some of the packing?

Yoshi Exhaust shortening
I am remodeling my bike we will say and really want to shorten the Muffler. It is a Yoshi and is just bolted together. Is this as simple as it sounds? I don't really have the money to invest in a new pipe. Also will taking 4" out of it require me to have to retune the carbs or will it not make that ...

Gear Drive Speedo
I am looking to put a single round speedo gauge on my bike. I have one off from a Honda Rebel that has the dummy lights built into it. The gear drive cable fits on the gauge but will it work properly. I have looked at the new digital gauges but this is not really what I want. I want an older school ...
