Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
That.... Is ultimately sexy. Can't wait for the spring to come around.

Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
Thanks Brandon; you went pretty deep into detail, and thats much appreciated. I feel like I may be going to go with a dual sport until I get the confidence to jump back on my FZR. I really do love my FZR, and would definitely hate to give it up for good. I never thought to get into dual sport until ...

Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
Also, Brandon, I don't think lowering it would help me out any. My feet are both flat on the ground after shaving my seat down, and I still seem to be having problems with it. It's almost as if every time I get on the bike, I get filled with fear of dropping it, and always end up doing what I fear. ...

Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
A peanut cover for a 600? I must be searching wrong... The lowest I've ever seen them for was like $120. I've just went and searched for "fzr600 peanut cover" on ebay, and couldn't find any below that price. Hopefully I'm just terrible with key terms

Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
Not really. That cover cost me $150. (kind of a lot for me. Lol) but yea, shit happens. I think the bike may just be a bit too big for me. I might end up selling it when spring comes along.

Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
Got it figured out this morning. Took the crank case cover off and noticed the bearing wasn't pushed in all the way! It was putting too much force on the starter, and prohibiting it from turning. I took her out for a ride tonight, and the road was a little too cold for the turn I would normally make...

Re: Won't turn over after crank case replacement
No, it didn't come with a bearing, but I took the old one out of the broken cover and put it in the new one.

Won't turn over after crank case replacement
I just replaced my peanut crank case cover yesterday, and tried to start my bike, and got nothing. It didn't even try to turn over; it just made a single click. I pressed and held the start button, and after about 20 seconds it started to make a repetative click. I replaced my battery thinking that ...

Re: Frame sliders? Lowering?
I appreciate everybody's advice, and after giving it some thought, I don't think it's my height that's wrong with me and the bike, I just haven't wanted to admit that I may not have enough leg strength. I also have no previous experience with a bike, so that could add to my problem. Lowering it woul...

Re: Frame sliders? Lowering?
Thanks for that info guys. If you're 5'5", and can easily flat foot, I suppose I just have short legs or something? Anyhow... I'll just end up getting adjustables. Now I just have to find some sliders or fairing compatible rails, and I'll be good. You guys are awesome...

Re: Frame sliders? Lowering?
That's great to know. How tall exactly are you? I was thinking about getting some adjustable dog bones, but that sounds like an option. I'm only 5'7".
