Re: ...CARBURATOR...
I am going to open up my carberators again. I am going to make a tool like the one rage sent me a link to (a card cut at 22.5 mm) and see if I can't determine if the floats are out of adjustment. Can you describe to me exactly how to set the height, and also at what angle should I be tilting it to b...

Re: ...CARBURATOR...
I am in Phoenix, at 12th Street and Thomas. I took a small screwdriver and pried up the rubber gasket a little ways to see if maybe it was damaged. It was actually on there quite tightly, and there is a bottom part to it that seats into a groove there. It did not appear to damaged in any way. That d...

http://fzronline.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=28182&width=150&height=113 I watched the video by match417 about cleaning the carburetors, and I took everything apart and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary inside. However, the main pilot screws were way off from wher...

...CARBURATOR...
Hi. I have a 92 fzr 600. Recently it started to act up and I decided to take the carburators off and go through them since it as old bike. I know that the other components of the ignition system are ok ( spark and air ) because I am constantly working on my bike. I saw the posting that was put up by...

Re: Need some direction...
I fixed my bike a few weeks ago. If someone needs help with this particular task, I can offer the scanned pages from the repair manual that another forum member provided to me. http://fzronline.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=28091&width=150&height=113 http://fzronline.com/...

Re: Need some direction...
That would be helpful. My email address is contact_john_c_jones@yahoo.com I contacted the seller of the item you found, but he has not gotten back with me, so I started looking again today. This looks exactly like what is on there now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1989-1998-Yamaha-FZR-600-FZR-600-Starter...

Re: Need some direction...
Thank you for the link, that was helpful. The supports inside of the cover are not damaged. The first part turns counter clockwise, and the rest of the assembly does also. I am able to move the entire assembly easily by hand with a 14 mm wrench on the bolt in the center. I am also able to turn the b...

Re: Need some direction...
I took the peanut cover off and this is what I found. The gears were bound up so badly that I had to use a screwdriver to get them moving, and there were a few missing from the largest one. Once I got it passed the damged part, then I was able to move them by hand. Something obviously happened to ei...

Need some direction...
I have a 92 fzr 600. A couple of weeks ago I was not able to start my bike. I was able to push start it in order to get to work. I was not able to push start it in order to get home. The battery was holding a charge, but only had 92 cold cranking amps so I replaced it, but this did not solve the pro...
