Re: Master cylinder upgrade
This is an ancient post but I started the process of converting my calipers, brake lines, and master cylinder. I was just wondering if you had photos of the bracket you made for mounting the reservoir? That is last thing I need to take care of. Thanks!

Re: A couple of tire questions
For me it was the opposite. I had a hard time finding the front tire and got lucky and found the rear tire in 150/60/18 on eBay right away. I've had them on for about 3,000 miles now and they are good tires but it sure was more trouble than it should have been to find them. The tires on my bike befo...

Re: A couple of tire questions
I have ordered the rear tire and was about to order the front tire off of eBay when someone else bought it. I am now having a pretty tough time finding a BT014 110/70/17. Any suggestions of where I might find one?

Re: A couple of tire questions
I know I posted this a while ago, but I am just getting around to ordering my tires. I am considering the bt-106's but I can't find the rear tire with the correct size anywhere. I was also wondering how many miles can I expect to get out of these days? I won't be riding on the track or anything but ...

A couple of tire questions
I was just wondering what is actually the correct tire size for 1995 FZR 600? My front tire is currently 110/70 R17 and the rear is 140/70 R18. The manual that I found online has slightly different numbers. And I was also wondering if anyone has any recommendations on good tires for this bike? Mine ...

Re: How high to rev before shifting?
Thanks for the info. I am quite a bit more comfortable with the bike now and have been revving a lot higher and having even more fun on it now. Thanks again!

How high to rev before shifting?
I was just wondering how high I can rev the bike before shifting? This is my first motorcycle and I have kind of been babying it. I usually shift before or around 6k rpm but I just saw a video the other day where someone with an FZR rode it and didn't let it dip below 7k rpm. He spent the whole time...

Are the Iridium spark plugs worth it?
From what I have found I can either get the CR9E spark plugs for about $15 or I can get the Iridium CR9EIX for $32. Does anyone know if they are really worth double the money?

Different service manuals?
I am looking into getting a service manual for my 1995 FZR 600. From what I have found out the part number for the manual is LIT-11616-FZ-00. I have found plenty of manuals on eBay but on the cover they say FZR600 (W-D) and then others say (W-H), (W-E), and then one that just says W. As far as I kno...

Air filter question
I was just wondering if the air filter is supposed to have a little bit of oil on it? I would also like to replace the air filter and was wondering if EMGO is an ok brand? I would like to get a K&N air filter but the cheapest one I can find is $40 on eBay. The EMGO is $10. I've also seen a couple OE...

Slow to warm up?
Does anyone know how long the FZR usually takes to warm up? Its been about 70 degrees here when I start it up and it takes quite a while. Also, is it OK to just ride it with about half choke for a little while and then push it in or should I wait for it to be completely warm and not ride it until th...

Re: Just bought an FZR and have a few questions
Is there any chance that you have an air filter lying around? Or possibly order one? I found one online for $15 but then shipping was another $15 so I am hoping for something a little cheaper than that.thatkid wrote:Or depending on what you need I may have it lying around my shop or can order it for you.

Re: Just bought an FZR and have a few questions
After actually draining all the oil and putting in the correct amount of new oil she is running great. No more smoke and no more oil leak. I took it on a 40 mile ride today and it was great! I love this bike.

Re: Just bought an FZR and have a few questions
I have now stupidly realized that I just may have added too much oil. I just discovered that the drain plug is actually on the kick stand side of the bike. I removed the hex bolt on the other side of the bike and some oil came out so I figured that was it. Do you have any idea what that hex bolt is ...
