thanks for the reply. I was thinking about removing the shock since Penske will re-work it to fit my other bike for a few hundred bucks.
I don't know if I could part with the bike for less than $3500, like I said, my expectations are probably not realistic. I'll have to mull it over some more.

value of a 92 FZR1000
I hope this is a "legal" question on this forum. I just figured I'd start here. I have a 92 FZR1000 with about 3,500 original miles on it. Yes, 3,500. The bike is mostly stock except for a speedscreen, $1500 Penske rear shock, stage 1 jet kit and a slip on Jardine carbon can. I bought if about 6 yea...

Re: 92 FZR1000 Fork swap
Hi all. sorry about the HUGE delay. So the whole fork swap project has been on a (over) year hiatus. Ended up buying a house right after I started the project. has a 6 car garage so maybe I bought the garage and got a house as bonus... The house was a fixer so all new wiring, plumbing, walls, kitche...

Re: 92 FZR1000 Fork swap
OK, so I had a few minutes and did some measurements. I'm hoping work will ease up by the end of next week and I can finally get some time into this. I rebuilt the GSXR forks since I'm going to use them on my other project if this doesn't work out. took measurements, roughly of the FZR head tube / s...

New FZRonline account
Hello, I skipped a step and never introduced my self, as per the registration instructions. Been lurking for a while on the board but never really posted. I have a 92 FZR1000 I was lucky enough to find with less than 3000 miles on it when I bought it a few years back. Finally getting around to get i...

Re: fork leg diameter
Not sure if there was a major change from the 91 - 92 FZR1000 to the Foxeye version but mine uses 52mm clipons. Apex riser clipons are great and almost endlessly adjustable. Kinda pricey but worth it. I bought the set that lets you rise up to 4 inches but the lines/cables are what will be the limiter.

92 FZR1000 Fork swap
Not sure if this has been discussed before, but here goes. New to the forum but owner of a 92 FZR1000 for a few years. about 3000 original miles. But hate the crappy OEM fork. I did a bunch of research and measurements. I'm about to start a 06/07 GSXR750 front end swap. steerer length is almost iden...
