Re: Disappointed with new SS Lines/R6s MC/Blue Dots

Well I never said I looked for it!

but :tks: I figured it was out there somewhere, just haven't been riding much and didn't take the time to look.

Re: Disappointed with new SS Lines/R6s MC/Blue Dots

Guys, Yeh air in the line will always make the brakes feel vague & squishy.. Somewhere along time back i did write that if you do a "blue dot" swap then for goodness sake use TWO lines straight from the calipers with NO junction block but going to a double banjo bolt WITH bleed screw in built at th...

Re: Disappointed with new SS Lines/R6s MC/Blue Dots

Well, I may have, honestly. I couldn't find any other instructions than the Wiki and I thought they were a bit vague... Nut loosened, screw loosened then tightened, and backed out 1/4 turn after first tension. I wasn't really sure how "snug" the nut should be afterwards. Also, I have no idea how to ...

Re: Disappointed with new SS Lines/R6s MC/Blue Dots

lol, sorry for the "update" and then disappear again. I just replaced the forks with some nice RaceTech springs, so it's quite stiff. As for lifting the rear tire, I didn't actually TRY to do so, and especially not on the street. I bought and use the bike mostly for its fuel economy, and I'm too "sc...

Check every electrical component you can: http://fzronline.com/wiki/doku.php?id=v ... flow_chart

There is always a good chance that the VR took something else out with it when it died, in addition to your battery.

Re: Disappointed with new SS Lines/R6s MC/Blue Dots

SO! I figured I'd drop an update in here. The brakes are performing very, very well now. They stop much better than the old stockers. However, I still don't have anywhere near the described abilities. That back tire wouldn't be able to get off the ground without a jet pack. Brakes are bled, but I su...

it has pod filters because i could not fugure out how the stock one goes on it will run good for about five minets but then shuts off and when it starts it is bogging and only 2 cylnders are firing, the 2 on the right That is going to be at least part of your problem most likely. The stock airbox g...

Almost any FZR frame will work IIRC. You don't need to look for a '92 specifically.

Re: Just bought an FZR and have a few questions

I have now stupidly realized that I just may have added too much oil. I just discovered that the drain plug is actually on the kick stand side of the bike. I removed the hex bolt on the other side of the bike and some oil came out so I figured that was it. Do you have any idea what that hex bolt is...

Re: new to fzr600 and looking for help and advice pls

Yes the fzr is fairly temperamental in the low rpm's but it's normal, do try to get the hang of it quick though because letting it jump and jitter (for lack of a better term) isn't to nice in the chain, gearbox, sprocket, ect. I do believe that anyone who can ride a fzr smoothly can probably ride a...

Re: 1992 fzr 600 with no title!

Brandon is right on the motor VIN being (partially) irrelivant. If he does not produce a title for that frame, you NEED to check with local You can probably resell that 400 frame to a racer quite easily. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't belive you need a title or a VIN for a race bike. The...

Re: The FZ-R1 project Update:01/14/10

This bike looks Mint, really want to do the same to mine, can i ask how much this cost to do? More than you can afford, pal. Ferrari. If memory serves, he did all of the work himself. So other than the cost of the parts, it probably didn't cost too much at all. Time to refresh your memory of...
