1991 FZR600 Wiring Harness, Motor, Misc Parts
Hello, I recently bought a parts bike and now have alot of extra parts that I need to get rid of. I have a full intact wiring harness in good shape. I'm in the process or tearing down the motor (It lost compression) and should have parts off of it. I also have alot of miscellaneous parts so if you n...

Re: Exhaust baffle cut out, not sure what to do
The idea behind this 'Increased Valve Wear' is because the freer flowing exhaust could cause your bike to run leaner = Hotter Exhaust = Hotter Valves/Valve Seats = Increased Valve wear. As this is just a Freer Flowing Muffler and Not a Whole Exhaust system (or exhaust leak in the headers) i don't t...

Re: Exhaust baffle cut out, not sure what to do
Not exactly which yoshi slip-on you have, but it might be an RS-3 ... Anyway, it's possible to get replacement 'inserts' 'baffles' 'spark arrestors' for like $20 then you just have to get some cheap fiberglass from a dirt bike shop. click here: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/9/187/6518/ITEM...

Exhaust baffle cut out, not sure what to do
Okay, so my1994 fzr 600 came with a yoshimura slip on when I bought it. It's always been very loud, but I thought maybe I could quiet it a little by repacking it. So i took it apart and the previous owner took all the fiberglass out and also cut most of the baffle out (maybe an inch left). So my que...

Re: Very Confused, Cardboard in air box?? (Pics)
That sucks but good job on keeping it going, doesn't sound like you're too much into the bike and really they are a lot of fun for the cost. No not really with a new airbox, new Shinko tires, and the new 1991 frame i'm only into it $1300 which doesn't seem too bad to me as it only has 7,500 miles o...

Re: Very Confused, Cardboard in air box?? (Pics)
if you have a in line filter it is prolly in the same place my 95 fzr 600 is in. pull your right side plastic and look under the black fuel tank. it should be right around where the fuel pump is. mine was a white cylinder shapped filter. i woudl go ahead and replace it just to be sure that it is go...

Re: Very Confused, Cardboard in air box?? (Pics)
I was fearing that it was a botched aim at improving performance..guess I'll be ordering another airbox. Also the guy said that it was jetted larger than stock, but didn't specify how much. The general consensus is that It's a yoshi pipe, should I keep it or just go back to stock exhaust with stock ...

Very Confused, Cardboard in air box?? (Pics)
Hello, about a week ago I bought a 1994 fzr600. It ran fine when I bought it, but a few days ago I accidentally ran it out of gas. Ever since then, it won't idle but will start and run if I hold the throttle. So I figured I had a pilot jet clogged and was attempting to get to the carbs when I run in...
