Yes the fzr is fairly temperamental in the low rpm's but it's normal, do try to get the hang of it quick though because letting it jump and jitter (for lack of a better term) isn't to nice in the chain, gearbox, sprocket, ect. I do believe that anyone who can ride a fzr smoothly can probably ride ab...

Aftermarket Clutch for the old Fzr.
So I was surfing the web looking for a after market clutch for my fzr, but I only seem to be able to find rebuild kits and oem clutches. So my question to all you good people out there have you heard of any aftermarket clutches for the fzr , are they a noticeable improvement or should I just rebuild...

or look on ebay.co.uk The FZR600 Genesis was a very popular bike here in the UK so there are lots of spare parts around. DK Motorcycles/Spares are a very big breakers and would prob be willing to send parts out to the US. Chris Thank You Thank You Thank You !! I found a working Cdi for 40$ on eBay....

Thanks for the reply and all the info i guess im just going to have a pro fix me up ive fixed a few motherboards (laptop xbox ) but im not going to risk it with my baby this chopped up TCI is not getting plugged back in.

The 400 TCI (not CDI) will work with the 600 engine. The problem is, it may work TOO WELL - the 600 TCI limits the spark just past 11500 (IIRC), while the 400 TCI will allow the engine to scream up past 14000 - listen for the crunch! of an ingested valve ... The mechanical redline of the 600 engine...

Cdi Compalibilty Questions
I have a 1994 Fzr 600 I was wondering If a 1989 fzr 400 cdi would work on my bike they seem to have the same pin count but I wasn't sure. I would appreciate any imput I'm also looking for a cdi (if this one dosnt work out ) so if you got a spare let me I is I'll take it off your hands for you.

CDI repair POSSIBLE??
Having issues with my CDI box and i NEED my bike running NOW its my only transportation. So has any one ever successfully attempted a CDI repair or dose any one have a diagram (resistor and capacitor sizes and ohms )? I would be in your debt eternally!

Thanks for the Wiki lead but im not talking about the VR i know what that looks like i think its the headlight relay or something it had a plastic outer casing. Next to the relay.

So heres the whole story with every detail i can muster.. The battery was dead on my FZR and my tender was MIA so i decided to play Macgyver and went online looking for a way to make a home made tender (see where this is going?) So long story short tripped the house breakers and blew the headlights ...
